Clophill Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

Clophill Parish Council announced its intention to re-launch the Clophill Neighbourhood Watch Scheme at it's January 2019 meeting and published this endeavour in the latest edition of Spotlight.

The Clophill Neighbourhood Watch Scheme is registered on www.ourwatch.org.uk and all Clophill residents are encouraged to join. It is free of charge and there is no commitment involved other than to be neighbourly and share information.

Please join today! (Please note that if you signed up to receive Beds Alert messages or you joined NW before January 2019, you still need to register to join the Clophill NW Scheme).

We are looking for volunteers to assist with managing the scheme and to support the PC's coordinator.
Can you help by being a street coordinator or provide support to the Parish Council coordinator?

Further details on the Parish Council web and Facebook pages. Email nw@clophill-pc.gov.uk if you require any assistance and we will try to respond as quickly as possible and normally within a week.

The aim of the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme is “to bring neighbours together to create strong, active communities where crime and anti-social behaviour are less likely to happen … making sure that fewer people feel afraid, vulnerable or isolated in the place where they live”
Everyone who joins the scheme will be issued with a membership pack in which there will be a useful booklet and a door sticker warning uninvited traders that they are committing a criminal offence if they call at your door.

The Parish Council, over the coming months, will be looking at options to expand the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme. This may include the introducing of suitable ‘Street Watch’ and ‘Speed Watch’ Schemes.
Initially anyone interested in helping with any of the 3 schemes should email nw@clophill-pc.gov.uk or contact James Stirling – Clerk to the Parish Council - on 01462 887 226.
