Easter - bins, tips and other Central Bedfordshire Council services
With the Easter weekend approaching, here are some important reminders about Central Bedfordshire Council services.
Clophill Parish Council announced its intention to re-launch the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme at the last Parish Council meeting in January 2019.
We are also looking at all the schemes available including Neighbourhood, Speed and Street Watches..
We are keen to find volunteers for our new re-launched Neighbourhood Watch scheme.
Please have a look at this link . There is no specific commitment apart from looking out for yourself and others around you.
The sign up process is simple and straight forward. Once signed up you will get an information pack which includes stickers and all the information help you.
For Speed and Street Watch this is slightly more involved and you must be willing and able to commit to between 1 and 2 hours of your time a month (this depends on how many volunteers join up).
Volunteers must provide ID and they will need to apply and pass a vetting process to assess their suitability for the role. Full training and an induction will be provided.
Once volunteers have successfully passed this process, they will be provided with appropriate clothing, kit bag, training and equipment relevant to the scheme.
Volunteers are fully insured by Beds Police.
